Thoughts Before The Next Infuse Retreat

When I first came up with the idea for infuse I thought I was coming up with a way to bless and help others see their Children's ministry dreams come true. I was but it's a whole lot more than that. Infuse has been the most fulfilling and personal leadership experience of my ministry. Tomorrow afternoon kicks off my eighth infuse retreat. The crazy thing about these retreats are that each one is different, just like people they all have had their own personallies.

In some ways they are really hard to plan for but like so many other things in ministry that you don't know how or what to do you just have to pray and allow the Holy Spirit to lead you and guide you. The truth is none of us can effectively do anything without the Lord's leading. The more I lead and jump out there to do things I've never done before the more I am dependent on the Lord's leading. We are nothing without Him. As I get ready for retreat number eight I realize I am like a pair of overalls that the Holy Spirit wants to put on. I need the Lord's help to help others, I need the Lord's help to be the man I need to be. Here's the Good news when we call out to Him He hears us and helps us. This retreat will be the best one yet and all I'll ready have to do with it is to listen to the voice of the Spirit and do what He says and if I do people will be blessed and ministered to. What do you need the Lord's help with? The best leadership advice I could give you is to listen for the Lord's voice and do what He says. It always works!

Bro Jim, Infuse has truly blessed me as well. Thanks for pouring in and ministering to us over the last year and a half.
